Costruire nel costruito attraverso interventi morbidi e leggeri che rispettano la memoria dei luoghi e valorizzano gli spazi regalati dalla storia delle città al contemporaneo.
Quest’eredità rappresenta una risorsa e uno stimolo per i progettisti, solo così si potrà riuscire a tramandare e a non sovrapporre la storia dei vecchi edifici.
Un modo di vivere dove la modernità si coniuga con l’antico, riscoprendolo ed integrandolo con tutto quello che è ritenuto necessario per il nostro ambiente domestico.
Il progetto prima e il cantiere in seguito, assumono all’interno del processo teorico e costruttivo del recupero del patrimonio esistente il ruolo di un sistema unico di dialogo tra il disegno architettonico e la verifica dello stato dei luoghi.
Valorizzare gli edifici attraverso una diversa destinazione rispetto alla funzione originale, è molte volte necessario per poter dare una nuova vitalità e contemporaneità all’intervento.
Un progetto realizzato attraverso quello che chiamo “restauro creativo” può indicare un nuovo metodo di lettura dove i segni e i racconti della storia si sovrappongono ai segni e ai racconti del contemporaneo.

Building in the built world through soft, lightweight operations, respecting the memory of places and adding value to the spaces that the cities’ history has passed on to the present day.
This legacy is a resource and inspiration for project designers, and this is the only way they can pass on, rather than overlap, the history of old buildings.
This is an attitude in which the modern merges with the old, rediscovering and adding to it with everything that is considered necessary for our living environment.

First the plan and then the construction take on a role in the theoretical and building process of recovering existing heritage, forging a unique dialogue between architectural design and improving the condition of places.
It is very often necessary to add value to buildings by giving them a different purpose than their original ones to be able to give new vitality and contemporary quality to a project.
A design created through what I call “creative restoration” can suggest a new way of understanding in which history’s marks and stories are overlapped with those of the present.
